We encourage our families with junior shooters to join VSSA by obtaining a junior membership. This is a great step in continuing with our Virginia heritage, getting your kids involved, and taking advantage of the wide range of opportunities available through VSSA.

Virginia is a great place for a young person interested in shooting sports. Many firearm safety programs, club sports, and social and competitive events are available. VSSA junior shooters have won national championships, and some have competed at the collegiate level.

The VSSA works throughout Virginia, supporting a wide range of organizations through youth competitions, coach training, equipment grants, college scholarships, and much more. Our Virginia youth are taught responsible firearms ownership and safety, develop marksmanship skills, and build relationships that last a lifetime.
